This term we are taking part in a project called MY PLACE run by West Yorkshire Joint Services.
This is a group of historians and archaeologists who have designed a ten week program of learning and events for our class.
The sessions will be every Wednesday and last all day. They will culminate in a day at a real archaeological excavation at Bolling Hall in Bradford, where the children will be able to take part in the dig and experience life as an archaeologist for the day.
There will be many different strands to our learning during these sessions, with an emphasis on Tudor England from a local and national perspective.
We will also touch other aspects of local history and archaeology, such as life during the Industrial Revolution in Bradford.
