A big thank you to everybody who supported our Harvest assemblies. The children from Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 enjoyed performing songs and poems. They also enjoyed sharing their artwork with the audience. Thank you for your kind donations for our harvest table. These are being donated to the Wyke Food Bank and will be used to make food parcels for local families.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan fundraising event. We were overwhelmed with the donations we received and it was lovely to see so many families visiting the cake stalls and supporting this amazing charity. We raised a fantastic £215.11. Thank you for your support!

2nd March 2017
We have had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day at Worthinghead. We really enjoyed dressing up as our favourite book characters and all of our teachers were really impressed with our amazing costumes! We awarded prizes for the most creative costumes in our special World Book Day assembly.
The teachers also enjoyed dressing up as Where's Wally. We also held a special Where's Wally search in each classroom as part of the special events to mark the 30th anniversary of this popular book.
Door decorating competition
We also held a special door decorating competition. The classes held votes for their favourite book. Each year group decorated their door in the theme of the chosen book. The results were amazing.
Story telling in the library
Ms Newing spent the day reading a selection of the World Book Day 2017 books to each year group. The children loved listening to the different stories and where then inspired to use their vouchers to purchase their own copies of the books.
