This term we will be focusing on developing a deep understanding of the skills and processes needed for proper scientific inquiry.
It is vital that all children have the ability to ask questions about science, and understand that those questions can be answered through experiments and investigations, where a proper methodology is constructed, variables are identified and tested, predictions made based on what they already know, results are recorded in a scientific fashion, and conclusions drawn.
The scientific inquiry skills will be learnt through answering questions and conducting investigations in life processes and living things, materials and their properties, and physical processes around us.
