Science of Sound
Sam came into talk to us about how we hear sound. We had a fun morning and learnt how to make our own musical instruments using household items. We will be collecting things at home to make our instruments.
Greenwood Tuesday 8th April
We all had to build a den. Mrs Greenwood built a campfire in the fire pit. We had to whittled sticks to use as skewers to put in marshmallows on so that we could toast them in the fire.
As part of our creative Curriculum topic we have been spending time in the Greenwood. This week we had a challenge to create a tower out of twigs. As we didn't have anything to measure the height with we measured them against Lucy's leg. The winning tower went above her knee!
We went for a trip around the the local chemical factory, BASF. We had a tour round the site and carried out experiments. We purified water and made slime!
