This half term we are learning more about landmarks and the culture of different countries in each of the World's seven continents.
The countries we are covering are France in Europe, China in Asia, Australia, Kenya in Africa, Brazil in South America and USA in North America.
Key vocabulary
Country – The world is made up of many countries.
Continent - The countries can be grouped into 7 continents.
Capital city - The city in which a country's government is based.
Landmark – A feature that is easily recognisable from a distance.
Culture – Customs and behaviours typical of a certain group.
Currency - The type of money used in a country.
