FS/KS1 Sports Day (7th July 2016)
We enjoyed taking part in our sports day activities. We were really lucky, the weather was kind to us and lots parents came to watch. Here are some photographs of us enjoying the day.
Teddy Bears Picnic (Tuesday 12th July 2016)
We had a fantastic picnic. We enjoyed lots of teddy activities including stories, decorate a teddy, make a bubble paint bear and a teddy treasure hunt. There was a fantastic attendance - thank you for your support.
Queen Elizabeth II - 90th Birthday Celebrations (27th May 2016)
To commemorate this special occasion we held a street party on the school playground. We made Union Jack flags and bunting and helped to decorate the playground. Everyone wore red, white and blue and we had a special picnic. The school sang the National Anthem.

Bradford City Penalty Shoot Out (20th May 2016)
The whole school enjoyed taking part in the Bradford City penalty shoot out. We collected lots of sponsorship money from our families. We had 4 chances to score a goal against Billy Bantam. It was very noisy and lots of fun!

Punjabi Roots Academy visit - 4th May 2016
We enjoyed a fantastic assembly with Mr Khan from Punjabi Roots Academy. We enjoyed learning about traditional Punjabi instruments and had a go at drumming. We also learned some Punjabi dance steps.

Easter 'decorate an egg' competition 24th March 2016
We held our annual 'decorate an egg' competition. The entries were fantastic and it was hard to choose a winner from each year group. The winners were presented with a chocolate egg in our Easter assembly. Here are some photographs of this years entries.

Easter Bunny Hunt (19th March 2016)
Thank you to everyone who attended our Easter Bunny Hunt. Visitors enjoyed taking part in the bunny hunt around the school grounds. There was also face painting, a cake stall, raffle and lots of Easter arts and craft activities. We raised a fantastic £245 which will be used towards our new school running track.

Sports Relief (18th March 2016)
To raise money for Sports Relief staff and pupils completed a mile walk around Wyke. Money was collected on the walk from members of our local community and added to the donations from children and staff. We raised £254 for this important cause. Thank you for your support.

World Book Day - 3rd March 2016
We had a fantastic time on World Book Day. Our theme for the day was 'bedtime story'. We dressed up in pyjamas and brought our favourite books into school to share with our class. We had a lovely day listening to lots of stories in our classrooms and in the school library. To celebrate the day we also held two competitions. Each class held a vote for their favourite book and then decorated their classroom doors like the book cover. We also held a 'decorate a potato like your favourite book character' competition. The Governors came into school and judged the competitions. They were very pleased with the effort that everybody had made. Here are some photographs of the day.

Safer Internet Day (9th February 2016)
To celebrate Safer Internet Day this year we held a variety of activities in school. Lots of work took place around this year's theme of 'Play your part for a better Internet'. Children discussed the theme in class and then wrote their own rules for creating a better Internet. We held a poster competition and two winners from each year group were chosen. Mr Riley had a very difficult job judging the posters! The competition winners were presented a special prize in Celebration Assembly.

We all really enjoyed taking part in our Christmas Craft day. There were lots of fun activities and we really enjoyed making lots of different kinds of Christmas decorations. We can't wait to decorate the school next week!

We had a fantastic day dressing up as our favourite super heroes for Children in Need. We raised an amazing £213 for charity. Thank you

Remembrance Day 2015
To commemorate Remembrance Day children from Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 made poppies and poppy wreaths. We learned about the significance of the poppy and wrote special messages. We took part in a special assembly and held a 2 minutes silence.

Room on the Broom Story Telling in the Wood - 3rd November 2015
Children from Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 were invited to take part in a special Halloween event in our Green Wood. We sat around the campfire, drank hot chocolate and listened to the story Room on a Broom. Then we had a go at making our own broomsticks.

Harvest 2015
We held a special Harvest Celebration on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th of October. We received lots of food donations which we collected for our local food bank. Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 children performed harvest songs, a poem and read a prayer.
Seed Gathering Day 2015
On Friday 9th October we held a special seed gathering day. Seeds were gathered from plants around our school grounds and were collected and stored or planted for Spring. All classes enjoyed finding, identifying and planting their seeds.
National Poetry Day 2015
On Thursday 8th October we celebrated National Poetry Day. We held a special poetry assembly and then classes wrote poems around the theme of light. Each class then chose two winning poems and prizes were awarded in a special assembly. A big well done to our winning poets!

Macmillan fundraising event (25th September 2015)
We held a cake sale after school to raise funds for Macmillan. Thank you for cake donations and your support at the event. We raised £205 for this important charity.
