Firstly this half term we are looking at books and stories by notable children's authors across the years.
We will be reading different books and stories, discussing how the authors use language, plot, characters and setting to develop a style unique to their writing.
The children will be identifying what makes a successful story and why, and highlighting what it is about their personal favourites that they like so much.
We will be trying to write in the style of our favourite authors.
In October we will focus on stories from other cultures, with an emphasis on writing and story telling from different parts of Europe, as part of our topic 'Where on Earth is Europe?'
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
