Our theme this half term is Superheroes. We will be linking as much science, history, geography and art to this theme to help make the learning fun and engaging. Keep looking at this page to see what we get up to.
Monday 4th September
To launch our topic, we went to our woodland area to look for facts about superheroes and find all the pieces to our jigsaw pictures. If we got them all correct we could unlock the chest to reveal capes and masks that we can use in our provision area. It was lots of fun!
We have been looking at different materials in our science sessions. We went on a material hunt around school to see if we could identify different materials correctly. Then we learnt some actions to help us remember the different properties they have. Finally, we used our understanding to design and make our own superhero cape, thinking carefully about which material would work best. We chose fabric!
