Autumn 1 - Early Islamic Civilisations

This half-term we will be learning all about the development of the city of Baghdad and the legacy of early Islam. We will also learn about key figures in history linked to Black History Month.

Autumn 2 - The Shang Dynasty

This half term we will learn about life during the Shang Dynasty in ancient China. We will find out about when and where the dynasty was established and some of its significant individuals.

Spring  - World War 1 and 2 in Europe

This term we will find out about how World War 1 started and ended and about key events during World War 2 (including The Battle of Britain and The Blitz) and how they affected the outcome of the war.

This term we will find out about the geography of North and South America and learn more about biomes, the Grand Canyon and the Amazon Basin.
