In our Science lessons we will be investigating seasonal changes by observing changes to our environment such as weather and daylight.
Key vocabulary
Seasons | In the UK there are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each lasts around 3 months. |
Weather | What the sky and air are like outside. E.g. Cloudy, snowy, rainy. |
Temperature | Hot hot or cold it is. In the UK we measure this in degrees celsius. |
Daylight | When it is light outside because the sun is in the sky. This changes in different seasons. |
Day length | How many hours of daylight in a day. This changes in different seasons. |
Adapt | How things and people change to meet the different conditions around them. E.g. Wear a coat when it is cold. |
