School visit to Bradford Industrial Museum
As part of our local history topic on Bradford, the wool trade and transportation we will be visiting Bradford Industrial Museum on Friday 19th January. The visit will allow us to understand what life was like in Industrial Bradford, what conditions were like for children working in the mills and to explore the mill and mill workers’ cottages.
We will be taking part in 2 workshops; the Warp and Weft will allow children to understand how fabric was produced and a Victorian Classroom workshop will provide them with the opportunity to experience what school was like for children working in the mill.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
