Our Science and topic work this half term are very closely linked. We will be studying river and the water cycle. We will be finding out all about evaporation, condensation and precipitation and using our knowledge to understand that water doesn't run out. We will also learn all about the different stages of a river from where they start to where they end. Later on in the half term we will focus on local rivers as well as getting more creative!
This half term we will also visit The Water Treatment Works in Headingley to find out more about how water is cleaned and what we can do to prevent water wastage. This was also linked to our persuasive writing in Week 1, where the pupils wrote a letter asking for permission to go to the Water Treatment Works... Luckily, Mrs. Sharp agreed!
We have loved getting to know more about the water cycle by singing along to this song!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
