What are we learning this week?
This week we will do lots of playing and learning in our areas each day. We will also come together each day for a story, a phonics activity and a maths activity.
In phonics, we are focussing on revising digraphs like ai, oo, ao and trigraphs like ear, ure and air. We are also gaining confidence reading and writing words with consonant clusters like cr-a-b, p-o-nd, str-i-ng.
(These will come home in jolly phonics books on Monday and Wednesday. Please take the time to practise these at home with your child.)
We will also revise the words we have been learning this year. We will focus on tricky words like you, are, all, because.
(These will come home in wash bags. Please take the time to practise these at home with your child.)
In maths, we will focus on the key number learning that we have covered over the year.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
