Today we have lots of choice when it comes to what to eat.
But how can we tell whether the food we choose is healthy or unhealthy? What is in the food we eat and what does it do for us? What foods do we need to grow strong and healthy and which should we have occasionally as treats, or not at all?
In our Science topic this half term we will answer all these questions, and really start to understand all about the things we put in our bodies through food and drink and the effect they have.
Later, we will investigate how our body works: what is it that keeps us alive, healthy and working efficiently?
We will conduct experiments to test theories about our bodies, like how our pulse rate tells us what is happening to us.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
