French Themed Day
Today we had a French themed day at school. Each year had their own French speaking country to learn about, ours was Switzerland. Here are some of the fun things we did.
We leaned about Yodelling. It was used as a means of communicating over long distances by herders calling their stock or to communicate between Alpine villages
Yodelling is a form of singing which involves repeated and rapid changes of pitch between low-pitch and high-pitch.
We played Simon says but in French and learnt parts of the body. We also pieced together lots of interesting facts about Switzerland. How many can you remember?
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
