This half term our Creative Curriculum topic is The Indus Valley.
We will be undertaking an in-depth study of the achievements of one of the world’s earliest civilizations, The Indus Valley. We will find out who discovered the Indus Valley and why it is significant in history. We will be locating the Indus Valley on a world map, studying its physical and human geography and comparing it to ancient civilisations we have previously studied such as Ancient Greece. We will then look more closely at the work of archaeologists and how they examine different sources of historical evidence to understand how they build up a picture of the past. We will be studying the buildings and artefacts and people’s work and lives in order to understand this ancient society.
