In our English lessons we have focused on poetry. We began by looking at bonfire night and finding adjectives that would describe the different things we see, hear, feel, taste and smell. We made our own word banks to help us when writing an acrostic poem. After, reading and exploring lots of poems we realised that lots have rhyming words in them. We have decided to use the season of winter as inspiration for our own rhyming poem.
We will also be looking at the story Immi's Gift. This story focuses on an Inuit girl fishing for items that will make her igloo look brighter. She makes her own pendant using the items and sends it back in to the ocean for someone else to use. we decided to make our own and write letters to say thank you.
